In Summer 2020, City Harbor partnered with Kelly Davis Events and Catering by Luna to host weekend Drive-In movie nights. We are happy to report that most evenings were at full capacity with many families and friends enjoying watching movies under the stars on warm summer nights.
These are just some of the events that will be a precursor for all the future events to be held at City Harbor as a way to make the natural setting of the waterfront accessible and enjoyable for the entire community.
The marina has officially been built and boats can now begin to dock at the boat slips. Amenities will continue to grow at the marina as the City Harbor project takes shape. Please email info@edgerinc.com to reserve a boat slip.
City Harbor is pleased to announce that the construction for the sea wall to expand the marina has been completed. We have begun our work on the 1,700-foot pedestrian promenade, which will provide access for the entire community to run, bike or walk along the waterfront. This promenade will connect pedestrians to City Harbor, the Waterfront Trail, and the Ithaca’s Farmers Market. It will end on the Cayuga inlet.
City Harbor has officially signed off on the Effluent Energy Recovery Project. This project is highly innovative, sustainable, and environmentally friendly. It will help keep the structures sustainable by using treated wastewater to heat and cool the buildings, resulting in significant carbon reduction and utilizing this otherwise wasted energy source.
For too long Ithaca's waterfront has been brushed aside for industry. Apart from countless private properties, a few parks and our short boating season the bulk of Ithacans do not have a daily opportunity to interact with what makes our region so special: the waterways.
Did you know that Cayuga lake is connected to the Erie Canal via the Cayuga-Seneca that also connects the two largest finger lakes? Did you know you can hop on a boat at City Harbor and hop off in Florida without ever touching dry land?
Ithaca has been shaped by the water above which we settled. Our team's goal is to bring our community its beautiful shores. City Harbor will reinvigorate and re-imagine Ithaca’s waterfront.
Stay tuned for more,
City Harbor Team
City Harbor community boasts several distinct elements, bringing the downtown Ithaca urban vibe to the waterfront with residential units, food and beverage venues (large and small scale), small artisan shops, and homegrown grocery. City Harbor’s vision includes re-imagining the marina and golf club offerings.
